Jeff Perrott

Best known for his Random Walks series, abstract artist Jeff Perrott creates two-dimensional tangles of color set against flat, monochromatic backgrounds. Perrott’s compositions are comprised of overlapping bands of vibrant colors connected to one another by sharp angles and smooth, organic curves creating the impression of a continuous stripe snaking through three-dimensional space. While some of the bands are bold, solid colors, others are translucent washes, simple outlines, or gradients fading from one color to the next. Through these large-scale oil paintings Perrott seeks to explore the nature of abstraction and chance as the colorful shapes wind over and around one another in seemingly random configurations.
