This piece consists of 3 layers of plexiglass held ¼” apart by a frame and 1½” deep giving it both real and visual depth. This depth cannot be captured in an image of the piece. The painting technique is known as “reverse painting,” meaning the paint is applied to the back side (as mounted) of each sheet of plexiglass. As seen by the viewer from the front, the paint looks very smooth, almost as if it were poured on. The dimensions w/ frame is 12" x 12".
