Luis Alonso

Cuban-born artist Luis Alonso creates drawings developed from a free play of line. His work is inspired by the static and fluid forms of nature: land, water, air, human and animal bodies, plants, minerals as well as the history of their representation in art, both figuratively and abstractly. He hopes to create a flux of metaphors and implications which will evoke the richness of our responses to the world.
