A traditional, lively, Spanish dance, known as the Pasodoble, portrays the drama of a bullfight. The male dances the role of a matador taming the opposing bull by swirling his cape – the female dancer – skillfully around a dance floor. Using Banksy’s bouquet of flowers from Rage, this piece considers the provocative interplay of one man’s hero serving as another man’s villain, presenting an alternative thread for a problematic needle: taming a wild bull with flowers. Could a single change in heart, mind or soul present an alternative to hatred?
