My sculpture investigates underlying structures found in nature – the cells of a honeycomb, the spirals in a shell, or the veins in a leaf. Through the proliferation of these elementary forms – both in nature and in my work – the whole is strengthened, thereby ensuring it’s continued existence. Survival is life’s most basic instinct and I am interested in exploring how it is achieved.
